Brianne Mason, RN

During a routine day, Brianne was accompanying a patient with a head injury to the Emergency Room for evaluation before an outpatient procedure. As she arrived in the ER, a distraught father burst through the doors carrying his unresponsive three-year-old daughter, pleading for help and shouting that she wasn't breathing. Without hesitation, Brianne sprang into action. She immediately initiated CPR on the child. After two rounds, she successfully achieved return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) just as the ER team arrived to take over care. Although visibly shaken afterward, Brianne's clinical skills, calm under pressure, and swift response made a critical, life-saving difference in that child's life.
