Brice Jenkins has great compassion for patients and families no matter what the situation. She always goes above and beyond for each patient even if it means taking her own time. She gets to know each person and does not see them as just a number or a task. She truly cares about the situation patients are being discharged home to, and always lend a helping hand to the best of her ability. Brice is an exemplary co-worker as well as a person. She even brings patients personal items from home to make their stay even more enjoyable. She brings each patient a smile and a ray of sunshine when being in the hospital can be a trying situation for patients and family.
I know Brice brought her own shampoo and hygiene items for a patient and spent a while washing and styling their hair because it was the one thing this female burn patient truly missed. She also brings drinks, teas, or coffee of her own for our other patients. She truly gets to know the patient and if there is something in her power to do for them that is out of the box or within the reach of the hospital she does it for them. Brice always puts the patient first even in front of their family. She involves the family when necessary as well as informs and is patient with all their questions. She treats our elderly orthopedic patients as they were her own grandparents. She prefers these patients and falls in love with their demeanor even when they are truly tough patients due to their dementia.
