Bridget Barnes is one of the most competent Labor and Delivery Nurses I have had the pleasure to work with. Her dedication to patient care is commendable. She is always in a patient's room, managing their labor, making sure they have a vaginal delivery. When we have emergencies on Labor and Delivery, she is always calm and makes sure patients are safe and cared for within the standard of care. In addition, her commitment to patients and Labor and Delivery staff education during this time of COVID-19 is commendable. Ms. Barnes taught Labor and Delivery Staff and Doctors simulation on how to properly put on and take off PPE and how to handle COVID-19 specimens. She did these simulations nightly when she was working until all the Labor and Delivery Nurses, technicians, and doctors had all been trained. Because of Ms. Barnes, Labor and Delivery is a safe and enjoyable place to work.
