Bridget was nominated by the parents of a man who was undergoing an unexpected surgery. Their nomination reads:

Our son was admitted and scheduled for an LVAD unexpectedly. It was a weekend and the surgery was scheduled for the following Wednesday. While caring for him, Bridget learned he wanted to marry his fiance before the surgery, but felt the time was just too short. Bridget went right into action; she downloaded the necessary forms and documents and told him the procedure for receiving a waiver for the three-day waiting period from a judge. She paved the way, and on Tuesday Bridget came in on her day off, we all went up to the 8th floor, and she performed the wedding ceremony. She even brought a cake and flowers. It was a very special day, thanks to Bridget, who cares for the personal and emotional needs of her patients as well as the physical. Thank you, Bridget, for all you do!
