Bridget consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to meet the needs of our patients. She advocates for patients and family members and ensures that they are able to make informed decisions about their care, are empowered to ask questions, are engaged in their health and focused on their quality of life.
Bridget embodies many of the attributes of SERVICE most notably Respect, Value, Caring and Excellence. Her caring nature was evident as she was able to artfully use her expertise and compassion to connect with the patient on a level that no other member of the IDT was able to do. She was able to get the patient to share information that was critical in developing an interdisciplinary plan of care that was holistic, in that it not only addressed his physical needs, but also his spiritual, emotional, psychological and social needs. Bridget was able to help prevent this patient from falling through the cracks and tackle the challenges that lead to the vicious cycle of repeated hospitalizations, self-destruction and depression. Her actions demonstrated her commitment to excellent quality care and patient satisfaction. She truly is an asset to Emory University Hospital Midtown.
It is such a joy coming to work knowing that Bridget will be here. She has a zest for life and a love for people that translates to the care that she provides daily. She is absolutely 'all in' and I am so proud to have her as part of the team.
