We accompanied our Godson and his parents during a 3-day stay in the ER. The family was very scared and frustrated because the doctor had not spoken with them in more than 24 hours of being in the hospital. 

In desperation, I found out who the unit coordinator was and asked to speak with her. Bridget took me and the patient's mother to a consult room and listened to our concerns without being defensive. She truly listened, and then she explained. She answered all of our questions and made sure we understood.

Bridget took this time with us even though there were four patients in the halls, and we found out that two ambulances had just arrived. She is a good leader and a compassionate nurse, modeling this behavior for others.
