Bridget is the definition of "Made for This". During the outbreak of COVID-19, Bridget noticed that the nurses and all staff in the ER were struggling and needed something to boost their mood. She took it upon herself to create a survey link that was sent out to staff where we could share messages of encouragement for each other that would be printed and hung throughout the department. This link started to be spread to families and friends of our staff members, and the messages of encouragement came in from as far as Europe!! There were over 500 messages submitted within the first 48 hours of this link being active. Bridget printed these messages out after long days at work and hangs them around the department prior to her shift. The staff have seen messages on the wall from their parents, friends, extended family throughout the day and it provides us with the extra motivation we need to finish our shift and provide the best patient care during the difficult time. She is an exceptional nurse and person. We are truly lucky to have her in our department.
