I recently found myself as a cardiac patient at Memorial. June 23rd I had my open heart surgery. On the 24th I was transferred to 6G. My nurse was Bridget. She was an angel from Heaven. More expert care could not be expected by anyone. As the week progressed she was there at the ring of the call light to hold my hand and fulfill my needs. On the morning of Saturday the 28th it was determined I required installation of a pacemaker. Saturday evening I experienced a small TIA. Bridget was there; she called in the stroke team, accompanied me to CT scan and made sure I received the care required. She took it upon herself to stay an additional 2 hours with me to assure I got the care I needed. Words cannot express the feelings I have for the care I received while at Memorial. I feel my experience would not have been so joyous if Bridget had not been so attentive and caring.
