My husband was a patient at LGH. We can truthfully say all the staff was very professional and very caring, but Bridgett stood out to my husband and me also. She was so very efficient in everything she did for my husband. When she had student nurses assisting her, she would often remind them of the patient's dignity.
My husband had a blockage of the bowel and had to have a colostomy. Bridgett explained everything in detail so we could take care of the bag when we got home. My husband went home to be with his savior on Saturday. I was clearing off his desk and found this (DAISY Award nomination form) that we never filled out. I had stayed at the hospital with him for the week that he was in. Bridgett got me a cot to sleep on and looked out for my needs as well. She truly cared about the people in her care and we felt the love that she brought to her patients.
