My father passed away in the evening while in the CICU. My family was finding difficulty in coping with this sudden and unexpected loss. The next morning, we planned on doing certain rituals before he was put in morgue. The rituals required some special way of cleansing and preparing his body. The CICU staff was not sure how to help us. So, I approached Bridgett Robbins. I called her at her home at around 6:30 am and she came in right away. She worked with the CICU staff to meet our special needs. In fact, she wheeled in necessary equipment from other floors. She patiently waited until we finished our rituals. She went above and beyond again by accompanying me and my family to the morgue. She did that like a family member. She did not leave us until morgue had full custody of my father's body. Her caring and compassionate words and actions made a huge difference to my family, particularly when we were suddenly dealing with a great personal loss.
