August 2022 Honoree
Bridgette Clark, BSN, RN, C-EFM
We were admitted to RMH due to our baby boy not having a heartbeat at 23 weeks. Bridgette Clark came in and put me at ease. She hugged me, and my family. She told me that no matter my emotion – cry, scream, silence, or whatever she was there to walk me and my family through this difficult time.
She made sure I stayed comfortable no matter what it was, pillow, medication, drinks, and snacks. She answered any questions we could think of – and if she couldn’t answer them, she found someone who could. She stayed with me on and off for four long days – my body rejecting two different forms of medication. We finally made a plan that worked, and she got to be by my side for the delivery of Beckham. She loved me and my family as if she had known us our whole lives.
She is someone so special to me for walking me through and for being more than a nurse, but for being my friend! She never complained, she never seemed tired or frustrated. She always wanted what was best for me to make this sad situation such a blessed experience that I’m forever grateful for her. Thank you!
