September 2015 Honoree
brigette hill, LPN
Brigette's patient in 711 had a difficult night last night. To make a long story short, the patient became short of breath and exhibited signs of fluid overload. Her shortness of breath made her pre-existing anxiety worse. While Brigette and I were in the patient's room together, I was so touched by the way Brigette comforted and cared for her patient. Brigette not only addressed the need for a Lasix order, but she was also able to help ease her patient's anxiety by rubbing her back, embracing her, and speaking to her in a soothing voice. It inspired me to witness this awesome display of true nursing care and compassion.
Thank you Brigette!
