E was transferred to Randall Children's Hospital from another hospital after learning that she had broken her femur while jumping on the trampoline with her brother. Her experience at the other hospital was scary and painful. But her experience at this hospital is better because of her nurse, Brisa. Wonderful nurses like Brisa make all the difference. "She was really nice to me" and offered E creature comforts like warm blankets, pain medicine, and stuffed animals to help her feel at home. As her mother, I noticed right away from her body language that she loves what she does and that she really cares about her patients. She makes direct eye contact, smiles and actively listens to her patients. I am so thankful that she is my daughter's nurse tonight. Thank you, Brisa, for caring for my daughter and for caring about her too.
