My daughter recently had an endoscopy procedure at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Britt, the Endoscopy RN who cared for her that day.
My daughter is a very anxious 10-year-old, and she was extremely nervous leading up to the procedure. From the moment Britt walked into the room, she showed incredible patience, kindness, and compassion. She took the time to connect with my daughter on a personal level and explained everything in a way that she could understand, which immediately helped ease her fears. When it came time for the IV, Britt was calm, gentle, and reassuring.
She breathed with her, helped her stay calm, and even gave her a fidget to help manage her anxiety. Those small acts of care meant more than I can express as a parent. Britt continued to show the same level of warmth and attentiveness after the procedure when my daughter woke up.
She made what could have been a very overwhelming experience feel safe and manageable for both of us. Nurses like Britt are truly special and rare. Her compassion, patience, and genuine care made a lasting impact on our family, and we are incredibly grateful for her. Banner – University Medical Center Tucson is very fortunate to have someone like her on their team.
