Brittany noticed and reached out to a friend who worked with the U and surprised us with football tickets.
Brittany is amazing. My 10-year-old passed away in October. Brittany was our day nurse the whole time we were at the hospital (5 days). She even switched shifts to be with us during this time. She showed so much love to me, my husband, my sons, and most importantly to my daughter L. She went above and beyond what I expected. She became more than a nurse to us, she became part of our family. Having Brittany there for us during our worst tragedy was such a blessing. She truly held me up when I couldn’t stand and made sure we were all okay. She found out things about my daughter, like that L loved pink and snuggly blankets, and then got her snuggly, pink blankets to put all over her bed. She knew I lived off Diet Coke and I was never without ice-cold Diet Coke. She always made sure we had our privacy when we wanted it and no visitor came in our room unless I wanted, which was a blessing. My husband and sons wore U of U shirts to the hospital a lot so Brittany noticed and reached out to a friend who worked with the U and surprised us with football tickets. It was so above and beyond what most people would do. This act of kindness meant so much to us. I will never be able to say enough. Not only did I know my daughter was in the best hands, I knew I was and that somehow we would get through this because we had such an amazing nurse by our side.
