I work with Brittany and I am incredibly blessed to say that! Brittany goes above and beyond for her patients every single day. She goes the extra mile to ensure that the patients on her floor are receiving the best care. She cleans rooms, helps coworkers, bakes cookies, and brings gifts. Whatever the need or want is Brittany does her best to fulfill it. She takes the time to talk to patients and families about their concerns or questions. We have had a few long-term patients on our floor and she has really gotten to know them. She knows what they like/dislike, how they like their room set up, and how to brighten their day. She takes extra time to visit and talk with them even when they aren't on her team. The patients notice her dedication and always appreciate her efforts whether it's sitting and talking for a few minutes or adding hot chocolate mix to someone's morning coffee or providing a hand to hold. She goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is okay on the floor. If a nurse is behind, she is the first person to step up and do whatever needs to be done. She is a role model to me and an asset to the hospital. Her kindness work ethic and team player mentality have made a huge difference on the floor. Her patients brag on her daily and ask for her when she is gone. She serves them and her coworkers even when she is off the clock by bringing food or small gifts to brighten their day. She does not let a tough night or assignment bring her down or change her quality of care. She does the most she can for every patient and every coworker. She does not leave things undone or settle for less than the best and it shows. She is a phenomenal nurse.
