This past Friday, Brittany, one of our nurses, was covering vascular access. While doing a dressing change on a patient’s line, the patient mentioned that her shoes had been lost during admission, and switching rooms, etc., amongst the floors. The patient was very upset and shared with Brittany how she had grown up poor, had nothing, and had finally been able to buy herself a nice pair of shoes. Brittany listened intently, gathering details to help her find this special item.

After calling Security, the floors, and anyone she could think of to help track down the shoes, Brittany was at a loss. She then purchased shoes for the patient and took them to her today. This is just one small example of how Brittany lives our mission and serves our patients. She always goes above and beyond for those less fortunate. She is a wonderful human and is such an asset to our organization. Please communicate how truly special she is!!
