Brittany Camper, RN
I wholeheartedly nominate Brittany Camper, RN, for a DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary compassion, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to caring for the whole person.
When Brittany encountered a patient struggling to secure stable housing and access essential community resources, she recognized that this individual needed someone willing to listen, care, and act. Rather than viewing these challenges as outside her role, Brittany stepped forward and became a source of support, guidance, and hope.
She connected the patient with appropriate resources and worked diligently to address barriers that significantly impacted their overall well-being. Through her actions, Brittany demonstrated that exceptional nursing care extends beyond clinical needs and includes advocating for the social and emotional factors that affect a patient's health and quality of life.
As a nurse leader, Brittany exemplifies the compassionate, patient-centered care we strive to provide at LGHP. She has shown that meaningful advocacy can happen at any level and that lasting change happens when we take the time to see patients as individuals with unique challenges, circumstances, and needs.
Her willingness to go above and beyond expectations sets a powerful example for her team and inspires others to extend the same empathy, compassion, and dedication to those who need someone in their corner. Brittany's leadership reminds us that some of the most impactful moments in healthcare occur when we simply take the time to care. For these reasons, and many more, I believe Brittany truly deserves a DAISY Award.
