Brittany is one of the most caring people I have ever known. But, today when I came into work, I noticed one of our patients had a new stroller in her room. Brittany went out after work and purchased a stroller so she (and other staff) could stroll the patient around the unit. This patient, in particular, is a little older than some of our other babies, and she is here until she gains enough weight to have surgery. It is not unusual for staff to stroll a baby around the unit. Oftentimes, the babies get restless and fussy lying in a crib all day. But for her to spend her own money on a stroller...so selfless and kind!
