Role Models Extraordinary Behavior:
Steeping up when we had the COVID-19 crisis. Showing compassion and understanding to patients, employees and visitors during challenging times. Going above and beyond when given a task. Being humble and flexible when given extra roles and responsibilities. Brittany has served at the Command Center during COVID-19 crisis. She has provided exceptional service to all her customers at THH during the COVID-19 pandemic by assisting at the command center and providing staffing for the screening stations as well as floor nursing staff.
Creates an environment where attributes of trust, compassion, mutual respect, continued professional development and ethical behavior are modeled and supported:
Training employees on different nursing levels how to screen and be shared at other departments. Brittany went above and beyond to make sure every screener was comfortable and safe. Brittany has been very supportive of all customers, including all the nursing staff during this difficult pandemic.
Motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for their patients:
Brittany was part of the incident command team and was always positive, trusting, quick to problem solve, and willing to step up to the challenge when facing screening, redeployment, quality, and CDC guidelines issues. She has also provided staffing coverage 24/7 for ancillary screening and nursing staff deployment. She has had days where she has been up several times at night supporting the staffing coverage requests.
Promotes and enhances the image of nursing within the organization, the community, and the profession:
Brittany is a very professional nurse with a patient advocate mindset, supporting the internal and external customers in the community.
Additional Comments: Brittany has gone above her job duties to excel as a professional nurse treating others like the one, we love the most. A great leader and someone I truly look up to.
