Mom was admitted to ICU the day before her youngest granddaughter's high school graduation. Brittany is an amazing caregiver. She took the time to set up the YouTube channel on Mom's ancient phone, even having to reset her password since Mom couldn't remember it, so the little bit of time I had to spend with Mom, I wasn't struggling to set this up on her phone. This may not seem like nursing care, but it epitomizes excellence in nursing care by going the extra mile (because technology, for me, is like running a marathon!) to make the patient feel nurtured, not just having medical needs but making her feel valued. When patients are unexpectedly hospitalized, important events like graduations and baby showers are really missed. So Brittany's ability to recognize this means she is a true DAISY Nurse.
