My mother has been battling health issues for years. She has become known by many staff. Brittany, as well as others, received a toxic display from my sister who has medical and mental issues. Brittany and all the other nurses remained professional. However, Brittany came to my side and the side of another family member in our time need. She shared her compassion and support to me and my family. Even in our darkest hour and in the darkest - deepest moment in my very sad and sometimes lonely world. She came to my side with my mother in her hospice bed - Brittany gave me hope. She gave me the support and understanding as a daughter to my mom, respect. Hope as a sister to my very unstable sister. She gave me hope that life and death were something I could have hope of surviving. I was a person. Not a file. My family meant something.
