When I woke up, she had brought me water and a snack so that I would have something in the middle of the night.
I’m a veteran and had to be hospitalized, and I’ve been at the hospital for a week when Brittany became my nurse. It was the middle of the night, and she came in when I was crouching and crying due to back pain and leg issues. She immediately came in to comfort me and asked me if I needed anything, and went and got me pain medication and heating pads for my back. She ensured that I had everything I needed to be comfortable and to go to sleep. When I woke up, she had brought me water and a snack so that I would have something in the middle of the night. She always checked on me to make sure that I was comfortable and had the medicine that I needed so that the pain would not overtake me again, to keep me from crouching on the floor in pain. She also helped me get the doctor to fill out FMLA forms for my son's work. She just made my last day in the hospital very pleasant and easy. She is the epitome of what a nurse should be. She always puts the patients first to ensure their comfort during their stay. I could not ask for a better nurse than Brittney.
