Brittany was my nurse for at least 4 full shifts during my 9-day stay. She was friendly, very attentive, took extra time to make me feel safe and comfortable. She always brought my meds on time and was even prepared with my extra "breakthrough" pain meds every 4 hours.
Brittany met my mom who stayed with me for the first 2 days and kept her informed. This hospitalization and emergency procedure was one of dozens over my lifetime. I've also been involved in traumatic accidents in my life, so I live with constant, severe pain. I take chronic pain meds at home and I'm in between spine surgeries to help this. Brittany understood this and was always ready with my extra pain meds every 4 hours.
Several days in, I had an incision open up and this was very traumatizing to me! I cried a few times, but she was very positive - reassuring and comforting to me. I felt very safe, protected, and well cared for. Best nurse I've ever had in over 40+ hospital stays!
