Britt can also light up the room and have the patient smile and laugh while she’s present. She strongly encourages a calm and healing environment.
Brittany did a phenomenal job while caring for my dad in the ICU. She is very personable and down to earth. Being in the ICU is exhausting and stressful, and she helped ease his worries. Each time he pushed his call light, she was timely and came to provide care. During one visit, I walked into the room, and they were visiting about football and the home towns they are from. She is patient and explains things in detail. She is down to earth, and I trusted her abilities to care for my dad. She has a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

I have been training with Brittany over the past couple of months, and every day, she shows compassion, skill, and kindness, and advocates for her patients and fellow nurses. When patients and families have gone through some of the scariest and most traumatic moments of their lives, I have watched Britt go above and beyond with their care. She takes the extra time to explain every situation, the patient's condition, medications, and the options that they may take. Britt can also light up the room and have the patient smile and laugh while she’s present. She strongly encourages a calm and healing environment. Aside from patient care, Britt supports her fellow nurses. She's always willing to jump in and help and volunteers her services when she sees a fellow nurse in need. As a trainer, Britt has gone above and beyond to help me to be comfortable with my new role as a nurse. During my first couple of weeks, I was very nervous. Britt eased those nerves and encouraged me to try new skills while educating me in the process. She explains every procedure and process as we complete them. I no longer feel nervous to start the day, because I know I have Britt right there with me for support and guidance. She is truly a blessing to not only the ICU team but to St. Francis.
