Britt was involved in the thoughtful discharge of a patient who was changed to palliative care at very short notice. The patient’s wish was to not die in the hospital and to get home and have a beer and cigarette. Britt facilitated his discharge within hours. He was discharged home on the Saturday and passed away two days later on the Monday. Britt went above and beyond to organize a complex discharge with input from the OT, CHNS, HITH, and palliative care services. Great gratitude was passed on by the patient's family.
