Brittany Puckett, RN

Brittany embodies the principles of person-centered care in everything she does as a forensic nurse with HART. Her focus is always at the bedside with the patient and ensuring their care is excellent. She is an amazing, active listener with her patients and she truly sees the whole person in her visit. She looks to patients' individual strengths to ensure they are leading their own healing process, with her there to offer compassion, resources, and support along the way.

There are countless examples of Brittany taking the extra time to sit with her patients in the difficult emotions and trauma that come with sexual assault and other forms of violence. Brittany is also very mindful of choice in her practice as a forensic nurse. She advocates for her patients to be given the opportunity to make their own choices and have those choices respected, which is essential. She carries these skills to her team members, extending care and advice to her fellow colleagues as a charge and preceptor.
