She always had that beautiful smile on her face.
Imagine this! A 90 y/o woman with rotavirus drops into the Emergency Room on a Saturday morning, of Palm Sunday weekend. It is obvious she needs to be admitted for tests, hydration, and TLC. Brittany is her assigned nurse, and somehow, Brittany managed to be the best caretaker ever.
After 36 hours, she had to deliver the news that Medicare may not pay for another day of hospitalization due to being admitted as an Observation. So the patient decided to leave the hospital at the time Brittany was to be finishing her shift! Adverse situation, to be sure. Brittany handled it well.
***
Brittany went above and beyond by listening to my concerns as a patient who was very frustrated with insurance guidelines, as well as taking excellent care of me. She was competent as well as thorough, discussed ways to relieve my symptoms, and is an excellent nurse!

Brittany is an amazing nurse. She made me feel very comfortable amid all that was going on. She took her time explaining things I needed to be aware of. She always had that beautiful smile on her face. I was very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. Thank you, Brittany!

Brittany is so kind, so patient, and understanding. If you are in pain, she goes out of her way to find out why you are hurting. She is just very sincere, she makes sure your water is filled and has ice, not many nurses have that kindness. From the time she walks into your room to the time she leaves, she is doing something.

She went over my list of medications slowly and thoroughly, and was very patient doing it and explaining what each was for. Also, she helped me to the shower and made sure I had all the things I needed to feel human again. It may sound silly, but when you’ve been in pain for days, a shower and some TLC from a nurse can do wonders. I so appreciate her kindness and gentle spirit.
