When Brittany started her shift, I was 15 hours into my 22-hour delivery of my first baby. My water was broken, but I was not progressing with dilating. When she rounded on me at shift change, she asked how I was feeling. I cried and said, “discouraged.” Brittany had such a positive attitude and reassured me how my situation was normal for a first-time mom, but assured me we would get this baby out safely. She was in my room at least every half hour adjusting my meds and physically repositioning me to help open my pelvis and aid in the delivery. Every time she came in, she was so happy and upbeat. She made my labor experience amazing and helped me through my fears. She was with me every step and I could not have done it without her. All my care was excellent, but Brittany will forever be the reason for my birth story being so happy.
