Brittany responded promptly and appropriately during a situation when a patient's health was declining and needing intensive care. Not only did she recognize symptoms that others did not, but she was able to communicate to the team what needed to be done to help the patient. She even on orientation took leadership and advocated for the patient by communicating with the doctors and updating them for every turn in the patient's status. The patient reported after being discharged from the unit that if it wasn't for her and her caring and advocacy he would not be alive.
