My daughter had fallen off the top bunk and hit her head. Because of her Von Willebrands disorder, I brought her to the ER to be checked out. Our nurse Brittany was extremely friendly and welcoming. She kept us informed often and was very attentive. She brought stickers and coloring pages to keep her entertained and snacks. Brittany engaged my daughter in conversation, asking about her pajamas and her interests. Even though she was only with us the first hour before shift change, she stuck out in my mind. It was refreshing to have such a bright soul taking care of us. She could have easily been tired and rushed through to go home, but she didn't.
