Brittany is who I would describe as being an extraordinary nurse. Her spunky personality and illuminating smile continue to brighten the days of our patients, their families, and staff. During this past challenging winter in the ER, Brittany stepped up to the plate and continues to be consistent with her nursing skills, her dedication to our company, and her compassion for others.
One day, while she was caring for a more challenging family, Brittany never deterred away from her main focus; providing outstanding care to the entire family. She made sure the patient's mother was well informed on everything taking place that day. She gained and kept in the patient's trust by talking to him, providing a healing hand, listening, and being unbiased. She took every step to ensure this family's comfort level was met. After their discharge, I noticed the mother pull our manager aside to compliment how awesome her nurse was.
Brittany, you are truly who I aspire to be as a nurse. You never deviate from being you; positive, excellent, compassionate, quirky, and best of all you! Thank you for being a positive role model, friend, and an example of what true nursing is.
