One day last week there was an elderly patient in ICU whose husband was visiting. The ICU Director and Brittany White noticed that the patient's husband seemed to be confused. Staff had to help orient him to his location several times during his visit with his wife. When it came time for the patient's husband to go home, Brittany was very concerned. She knew where the couple lived and decided to follow the husband home to ensure he got home safely. Brittany also watched him to ensure that he entered the house safely before leaving. This act of caring went above and beyond and shows how we are committed to our patients and their families.
