Brittany was very sweet when she introduced herself on the day of my daughter's procedure. My daughter had an LP done and upon returning she was in an immense amount of pain, and as you can imagine I was very upset. While her pain was waiting to be resolved, Brittany did everything she could to help make my daughter more comfortable, with medication, ice, and comforting words. Although it was not her fault at all, she apologized and was very sweet to her. She called her physician and asked for a stronger medication since my daughter was crying in pain. When the medication came in and she finally was relieved of the worst of the pain she came in frequently to give her more ice, check how she was and if we needed anything else.
She was attentive, kind, sympathetic and above all patient with us and the situation. As a mom, sometimes we can be edgy and hard when it comes to our child's care, and I just hate seeing her in pain and just want her to feel better. We forget how much is actually done for them in all this process. Brittany goes above and beyond to make her patients feel well. This is more than just a job for her. St. Josephs Children's Hospital is blessed to have this amazing woman on their staff. Thank you, Brittany, for everything you did!
