Brittne was the discharge nurse for my son, his wife, and their new baby.

I watched her as I sat on the couch in their room.  You could tell that she loves what she does by the look on her face and the way she acted toward them, smiling the whole time she was in the room.  She was very knowledgeable, answering any questions they had and giving thorough, easy-to-understand instructions to them about what to expect and how to care for baby once they got home.  She even taught them how to properly buckle the car seat with him in it.  I certainly felt more at ease when she finished her instructions and demonstrations.  I know my son and his wife did too.

She helped us to the car and even helped me get a good picture of mom and baby while we were waiting for my son to bring the car around.

She is a breath of fresh air with such a calming spirit and certainly an asset to CHRISTUS and is a model for “Extending the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ.”

All the nurses were kind during our visit.  However, I can think of no one else who deserves this award more than her.  I hope she is still here when they have their next baby.
