Brittney is a team member at our St Simons Immediate Care Center. Recently, she played a huge part in potentially saving a man's life due to her nursing skills, compassion, and composure. The gentleman presented to the Immediate Care Center parking lot with a saw blade injury to his abdomen. Upon being notified of the situation, Brittney immediately took charge, grabbing supplies, notifying the physician, instructing the other team members what to do to help, and going to the parking lot to assist. She immediately assessed the patient and provided emergency care for his injury until the ambulance arrived to transport him to the ECC. Her calm demeanor and performance under pressure most likely saved his life, and I appreciate her contributions to our team greatly. Nurses like Brittney truly make a difference.
