Brittney wasn't even my husband's nurse and showed us such kindness. She found out it was our anniversary (likely the last) and brought us balloons and a card (signed by my husband). She did this out of her own pocket and even had dietary bring us a celebration meal. This kind of heart is hard to find. Please keep her around to share that kindness to others in their darkest times. She shows that nurses not only care for patients, but also their families, and not just their bodies, but also their souls.

Brittney received a second nomination from another patient who was impressed with Brittney's compassion and intelligence. He had been trying to go home, but was having trouble getting the clearance he needed to be discharged. Brittney located some advanced equipment, and was able to demonstrate that the patient was ready to go home and continue healing. "This shows that creativity and focus on your patient is needed. She is an angel."
