Brittney took the time to go above and beyond for my husband and me during his stay in the ICU. After listening patiently to a tearful patient and his wife, she learned that today was my birthday and we were both disappointed to spend it with him being hospitalized. After learning this, Brittney brought two recliners, tables, flowers in a vase, and a meal coupon for me so that I could have dinner with my husband. She set up the room so that we could have dinner together despite being hospitalized. The ICU nurses even sang Happy Birthday! I have never witnessed such thoughtful care from a nurse doing things I am sure aren’t a part of her job description but because she wanted to help. My husband and I will never forget the care she gave.

Brittney had a patient who was disappointed to be in the hospital on his wife’s birthday. He wanted to do something special for her. Brittney helped him plan a movie date in his room. She put two recliners in the room and a vase of artificial flowers. She got a meal ticket for the patient’s wife so she could get food from the cafeteria. She also got everyone in the ICU to sing Happy Birthday to his wife. The patient and his wife were so happy about this. Brittney truly cares about her patients and is willing to go the extra mile for them. We are so lucky to have her.
