Brittney was recognized by a co-worker for the compassion and advocacy she showed while caring for an actively dying patient. After the patient was told he would not live through the night, he expressed his desire to eat his favorite foods and to die at home. Brittany went to work making phone calls and arranging for food delivery and a transport home. Her co-workers pitched in to help, and the entire crew made every effort to care for this patient in the best way possible and allow him to die with dignity.
