I submit this nomination for Brittney from a very sensitive position. I was the patient, and I am an employee in Marble Falls. Brittney helped me through one of the most challenging times I have ever experienced. Never did she treat me just as a coworker, but I instead received the most compassionate support through every part of my care. She listened to all my concerns and questions, she remembered all our conversations after multiple visits (including helping me “brag” about my son’s award coming up), and she truly seemed to care about my outcomes and comfort through it all.

She was always considerate of my privacy and read my emotions and pain tolerance very well, including reassuring me through my uncomfortable procedure and talking me through each step in the process. We even had a few moments to talk about how to improve work processes and resources—always striving for improvements and how to do things better. I could not have asked for a better guide; she is seemingly born for this role. What an amazing position she holds. I could not have asked for someone better to help me get through it emotionally or physically! This facility is truly blessed to have her here—for me and all our patients. I have no doubt that this is how she is with everyone she supports. Brittney is an extraordinary nurse who is using her talents in a way that has impacted me above and beyond what I expected, and I am extremely grateful.
