LDR Nurses are supposed to care for patients as prescribed by their Ob team. Almost all the time this means following orders yet staying vigilant looking for signs of clinical change that are unexpected or may lead to a different clinical path. Brittni not only demonstrated this during our complex labor and delivery experience but was a fearless champion for honoring and supporting our desire to have a vaginal delivery by identifying opportunities that would provide more opportunities to succeed in achieving our goals. Her bedside manner was superb, reaching us at our knowledge base and taking time to address the smallest concerns such as ice and serving warm soup for sustenance. She was appropriately aggressive in using position changes as a way to improve labor progress and was not afraid to advocate for us when it was time to pause Pitocin from lack of expected response. When medical students would disturb us after a long and interrupted restless night she was a hero stepping in and advocating for our rest though we were happy to allow students to learn during our experience. Regardless of our outcome (has not happened yet) her care and personal attention to our specific needs demonstrate a high degree of competence, exemplary bedside manner, and professionalism. Thank you Brittni for your dedication and continuing this model of service to your patients.

Thank you, Brittni, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
