Brook is the kind of nurse whom every nurse should want to be like. She is dedicated and she pays strict attention to the patient's needs.
The way she communicates with my father is as if he is part of her own family. Her voice is so soothing which aids in relaxing my father because he is on a ventilator. Not only is she wonderful with my dad, but she is also wonderful to his family. Brook is patient, kind and empathetic to our needs as we go through this difficult time with our loved one.
Brook is a team player. She works exceptionally well with her co-workers. Physical touch is so important when a person is critically ill. A caring nurse can give the patient hope, strength, and peace. As I watch her hold my father's hand, I know it is helping him to know she cares.
If I was a patient, I would want Brook to be my nurse. Brook is a phenomenal, amazing and wonderful person and nurse!
