My visit here at PHP got off to a rocky start, to say the least. I chuckled out loud about the intro video saying you should only need the call light for emergencies because you will be checked on every two hours. 1st couple of nights, I barely saw anyone. Dr. had written for care and had not been done for two days and until I insisted. Calls for meds not on order for nausea took four hours only to be called into the wrong Dr. service and was left all day. I even told Brooke I would never return to PHP again. Then, the sunshine "Brooke." I called to make a formal complaint, and Brooke was in my room within two minutes. I was shocked. She listened to my concerns with compassion and made me feel like someone was actually listening. Then, "boom," she was all over my case. Orders were being executed, the staff was attentive, and my care was well over the way. Her happy, calm disposition was a beam of sunshine. I finally knew someone cared about my medical needs. She has continued to help me in so many ways, and the staff has been so much better. She is "wow". Thank you, Brooke, and needless to say, if I need care, I will be back to PHP.
