Dr. Brooke Browder made our first couple of weeks at nursing school memorable. Being a first-semester nursing student is a big adjustment, but Dr. Browder helped students through this adjustment. On the first day of class, she had already learned all of our names, and I think that just made us all feel like we were cared for by her and that she truly did want us to succeed here at LHSON.

Dr. Browder always brought a warm smile to class every day…one that brightened our day. She didn’t judge students when we made mistakes…she is entirely focused on helping us improve. On multiple occasions, she went out of her way to meet with students and make sure they got all their questions answered, no matter the time of day. She always goes above and beyond for students both in lecture and lab.

Dr. Browder is truly one of the kindest and most caring professors at LHSON. She truly cares about her students and patient care, and her passion for teaching and nursing shines from the inside out. In and out of the classroom, she was a leader in Christ and showed that through her teaching and character. I can’t think of anyone else more deserving of this award. Professor Browder is truly amazing.
