Brooke Cook, RN

Brooke is a very knowledgeable nurse and a huge asset to our unit. A couple of weeks ago, Brooke was floated to HVI to take care of a very sick laboring intrauterine fetal demise. During this shift, she was the primary nurse as the patient coded for several minutes. Brooke is very empathetic, so an event like this sticks with her tremendously. Since the event, Brooke has created a bond with the patient’s family and checked up on them as if they were her own family. Today, Brooke’s patient is off ECMO, walking, talking, and requesting her nurse, Brooke. On her day off, Brooke is here going the extra mile, showing her patient just how much she cares. Even with her own personal struggles over the last couple of months, Brooke has stood strong and never stopped working with a servant’s heart.
