Brooke knows how to be a friend to our son.
When our son received his MRI, EEG and lumbar fluid extraction, he did not like to eat during these times. When Nurse Brooke said he had to eat and drink, our son then obeyed her. He was very good at following her instructions. He even allowed her to take his oxygen level, which normally he would not like to have done. I think it’s because Brooke has a very calm tone of voice, which is important for kids, and she knows how to be a friend to our son. We started to call her “best friend forever” of our son. Our son really loved to listen to what she “his newfound friend or buddy” would say, when we called her that. Nurse Brooke was also able to assist us without any objections during the night shifts. You can see that aside from her technical skills, she demonstrates great COMPASSION to the patient and to the family as well, which is a very important talent. Thank you, Brooke, for being there for us in so many ways. We hope Nurse Brooke will be complimented on her very special skills.
