Brooke is a caring, compassionate nurse who infuses her positive energy into all her interactions with patients, their families and her co-workers. She is a strong advocate for her patients, by ensuring that they have access to culturally and linguistically appropriate resources for navigating the complex critical care environment and for education regarding acute and chronic health changes. Brooke's calm demeanor, and patience to create the time to sit with patients and their families until she is sure that their questions and needs are met, is evident by her frequent nomination by them as a standout Nurse.

Brooke also carries this over to her co-workers, and is considered a staff favorite to work with. She is a true team player, always helpful, proactively stepping up to assist her co-workers with their patient assignments in addition to her own, always doing it with a smile and positive attitude. She strives for excellence in her practice, attending numerous continuing educational offerings, obtaining her CCRN and proactively shares new knowledge as a co-worker and precepting nursing students and new staff. Brooke has developed into a full shining star in the MCICU.
