Brooke is an exceptional nurse. I knew from the minute I met her that my 3-month-old daughter was in great and overly competent hands. She is passionate about her work and she truly cares about her patients.

Seeing your tiny baby hooked up to lines and tubes and devices is extremely frightening and overwhelming. Night time and sleep makes it even scarier - what if she stops breathing and I’m not awake? What if something happens and I don’t hear it? Brooke made those worries disappear. I feel so fortunate that she was our night shift nurse during our stay. She was attentive, she was thorough, she was knowledgeable, she was team-focused, and she truly cared.

Brooke treated my daughter as if she were her own. I felt safe in her care and she made our stay a little less overwhelming and worrisome. She also validated me when I expressed concerns or anxieties and provided reassurance and support in a kind and gentle way. Brooke deserves to be recognized for both her dedication to the field and to her patients. She is an amazing human and clinician.
