Brooklyn Prewitt went out of her way to contact my wife at home who was sleeping when I came into the ER. She called many times over the period of over an hour before she was able to wake her. She then explained to my wife that I was in the ER and had a broken shoulder. During all this time she continued to check in on me letting me know she was still attempting to contact my wife at home. Even though she was working with everyone on the floor as the ER Charge nurse, she still left me with the knowledge that she would continue to do everything in her ability to contact my wife and get her to the ER. Brooklyn made me sure by her actions and caring that I had made the correct choice in choosing to come the ER at Baptist Health Corbin when I broke my shoulder. It is the care and dedication of RNs like Brooklyn Prewitt that make the difference in your feeling that you have received the best of care rather than being taken care of like just a number.
