My mother had surgery, that day she felt good, walked and ate, on the next day she felt the same. But on the night of the 3rd day she suddenly seemed lethargic - I asked Brooklyn to look at her and she immediately recognized a different appearance. She began checking my mother’s condition and calling the doctor on call. She followed up regularly, ordered tests, and continually monitored my mother’s condition. At 1 AM after listening to her heart, this nurse determined more aggressive care was needed. The on-call doctor was on another call, so this nurse called the crash crew, and immediately a higher level of care was happening. Mother went to an intensive care unit for 2 nights and 1 day. I credit Brooklyn’s observation and doggedness to the survival of my mother. I offer her my deepest gratitude and salute her dedication to her patients!
